Our Rover injection fuel tank underwent a thorough stripping process to remove the old cellulose paint. This provided the perfect opportunity to inspect for any signs of corrosion. Fuel Pump Selection
We've opted for the standard immersed fuel pump and filter combination. While SPi and MPi pumps differ, we've found that the MPi pump works seamlessly in both types of Minis. The fuel delivery pressure of approximately 3-bar is ideal for our Canems/Jenvey/Weber Pico injection system.

Similar to the brake hoses, the fuel line requires careful routing through the bulkhead. We've utilised 90-degree adapters in the front bulkhead box section, traditionally used for internal heater water pipes. These adapters fit perfectly on plates covering the left-hand drive car pedal box.
Important: Seal both ends of the fuel hoses during installation to prevent contaminants from entering the delicate injection system.
With the SPi tank in place, we've connected the Goodridge fuel hose. The output from the fuel pump is clearly marked with a small orange band. While most connections use Goodridge threaded fittings, the tank and fuel pressure regulator connections require disguised Jubilee clips.
To prevent damage and ensure proper routing, we've used P-clips on the fan shroud/top radiator bracket to support the fuel hose from the bulkhead to the fuel rail. The front P-clip is inverted for optimal fit. To safeguard the top coolant hose from the coarse steel braiding, we've spiral-wrapped the hose. The return hose to the tank will be installed alongside the feed hose.
As our Bogus 2 Mini is equipped with injection, a fuel pressure regulator is essential. We've mounted ours to the offside inner wing. The regulator is positioned in the return hose to control upstream pressure. Our adjustable regulator includes a vacuum takeoff, which isn't necessary for this setup. As with the brake system, thorough leak testing is crucial. We discovered a minor leak at the pressure regulator connection, easily resolved by tightening the fuel line. Checking the fuel pressure is vital as it directly impacts injector performance.
